About the Role

As an engineering consultant at MSTECH Sweden, you will be an integral part of a highly skilled and agile team dedicated to delivering advanced simulation and sustainable structural design solutions to clients across multiple industries. You will take a hands-on role in developing and validating models using advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA), fatigue life assessment, custom material routines, and related digital engineering methods.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with clients and project partners to understand their specific technical challenges and deliver innovative, tailored solutions that enhance safety, reliability, and performance. Your work will span a variety of sectors, including automotive, aerospace, energy, and civil engineering, giving you the opportunity to apply your expertise to diverse and meaningful projects.

You will be responsible for managing and executing technical tasks from concept to delivery, including model setup, simulation execution, result analysis, and technical reporting. You will also contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team and play an active part in the continuous improvement of our processes and service offerings.

If you are passionate about driving innovation in engineering, eager to solve complex problems, and ready to make a tangible impact on our clients’ success, we encourage you to apply and become part of our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced simulation models, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural, fatigue, and thermal performance.

  • Analyze and interpret simulation results to identify potential design improvements and ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.

  • Prepare clear, detailed technical reports and present findings to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their engineering challenges and propose effective, innovative solutions.

  • Contribute to the development and customization of material models, such as UMAT subroutines, to address specific project needs.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary project teams, providing simulation expertise throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing knowledge, best practices, and technical insights within the team.

  • Stay up to date with advancements in simulation software, engineering methodologies, and industry trends relevant to MSTECH’s services.

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality, safety, and sustainability requirements.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Solid Mechanics, Energy Systems, or a related technical field.

  • Proven experience with advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and simulation software (such as Abaqus, Ansys, or similar).

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex simulation data.

  • Experience with fatigue analysis, lifecycle assessment, or custom material modeling (e.g., UMAT subroutines) is highly valued.

  • Proficiency in technical reporting and presenting simulation results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); Swedish is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Interest in sustainable engineering practices and a drive to stay current with advancements in the field.

Nice to Have

Experience with advanced fatigue life prediction methods or fracture mechanics.

  • Knowledge of multiphysics simulation (e.g., thermal, acoustic, or coupled analyses).

  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (such as Python, MATLAB, or Fortran) for process automation or material modeling.

  • Previous work with composite materials or non-linear material models.

  • Experience in client-facing roles or consulting, including project management or technical sales.

  • Publications, conference presentations, or participation in technical forums relevant to structural simulation or engineering design.

  • Fluency in Swedish or other European languages.

  • Familiarity with European engineering standards and certification processes.
